Hi @George. I'm kapa.ai, your friendly support bot. I will try to answer your question by searching through the knowledge base.

Based on the knowledge sources provided, it appears you're asking about credits or tokens in the context of AI tools related to refine.
From the information available, refine has an AI component called Lovable.dev (also referred to as Lovable AI), which uses a token-based system similar to other AI tools. In this system:
- Tokens are used every time you create, edit, or ask for revisions
- More complex requests require more tokens
- Tokens are essentially the "fuel" for the AI
The Lovable AI service follows a freemium model with daily and monthly message limits. The free plan includes 5 free messages per day with a maximum of 30 messages per month. There are also various paid tiers with increased message allowances Lovable.dev - AI Web App Builder.
It's worth noting that another AI tool mentioned in the knowledge sources, Bolt.new, also uses tokens. In Bolt's system, tokens represent small portions of text that the AI processes, with different tasks requiring different amounts of tokens.
If you're specifically asking about a different credit system within refine that isn't covered in these knowledge sources, I don't have enough information to provide a complete answer.

@kapa.ai how do I know how many credits a prompt will "cost" and will a credit be used to rectify any mistakes the AI makes?

Hey there! Sorry for the confusion. We have a FaQ coming soon but for now, here is an intercept from it
Q: What are credits?
Credits are the usage units you spend when generating code, previewing output, or using any other feature in Refine AI. Every paid plan includes a monthly credit allowance based on your tier.
Q: How many real tokens does one credit equal?
We don’t tie credits to a strict number of model tokens, as usage depends on factors like prompt complexity, generation type, and model efficiency. Behind the scenes, we continuously optimize our infrastructure to help you get more value from every credit — no need to worry about token math.
